1. Who we are

Dream Tap is an indie developer based in Moldova. NoScroll is a focus and digital-wellbeing app that helps users block distracting apps, websites, and adult content on Android.

2. What data we collect and why

2.1 Data you give us voluntarily (optional account)

Creating an account is completely optional. If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive from Google:

• Email address
• Display name
• Profile photo URL

This information is used only to identify your account and sync your progress across devices. We do not sell it, share it with third parties for advertising, or use it for any other purpose.

2.2 App settings and progress (stored in Firestore, account-linked)

If you are signed in, the following data is stored in Google Firestore under your unique user ID:

• Block list settings (which apps and websites you chose to block)
• Streak count and completed days
• Focus session history (start time, duration, completion flag)
• App-level toggles (e.g. adult content filter on/off, focus mode)
• Accountability partner email (only if you enter one — we do not contact that address automatically)

If you use the app without an account, all of the above stays on your device only and is never transmitted anywhere.

2.3 List of installed apps

To let you choose which apps to block, NoScroll reads the list of apps installed on your device that have a launcher icon. This list is processed locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

2.4 Accessibility Service

NoScroll uses Android's Accessibility Service to detect which app or URL is currently on screen so it can apply your block rules in real time. Specifically:

• We check the package name of the foreground app.
• We check the URL shown in supported browsers.
• We check visible text to detect content like YouTube Shorts or Instagram Reels.

We do NOT read your messages, passwords, personal documents, or any content outside the scope of block-rule matching. The service runs entirely on-device. No screen content is transmitted to our servers.

2.5 Device Administrator (optional)

The optional "Uninstall Protection" feature uses Android's Device Administrator API to prevent NoScroll from being uninstalled while the protection is active. This feature is activated only if you explicitly enable it. No data is transmitted as a result of this feature.

3. Data we do NOT collect

• We do not use advertising SDKs or sell data to advertisers.
• We do not track your location.
• We do not read your messages, call logs, contacts, or photos.
• We do not collect analytics or telemetry by default.

4. How we store and protect your data

Account data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), which is protected by Google's infrastructure. Access to your data is restricted to your own account — no other user or third party can read it. Firestore security rules enforce that only authenticated requests matching your own user ID are allowed.

5. How long we keep your data

Your data is kept as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently deletes all data associated with your account from Firestore.

6. Third-party services

NoScroll uses the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase Authentication — for account sign-in. Firebase Privacy
• Google Cloud Firestore — for cloud sync of settings and progress. Firebase Privacy
• Google Sign-In — for one-tap sign-in with your Google account. Google Privacy Policy

7. Children's privacy

NoScroll is designed for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data through our app, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Your rights (GDPR / users in the EU)

If you are in the European Union, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of your data.
• Withdraw consent at any time (e.g. by deleting your account).
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
